HOW TO KNOW SHE IS INTO YOU

Hey guys,  so I came across this article
by Ossiana Tepfenhart and thought how much my readers might find this topic interesting. Read up and you could leave your ideas or just read for fun.

It can be really hard for members of either sex to admit when they like someone. But listen up, guys — if you get a nagging feeling that her sour demeanor might actually be hiding the fact that she actually kinda likes you, keep an eye out for these clues. You might be surprised to find out that she’s more into you than she’s willing to admit.

SHE’S CONSTANTLY TALKING ABOUT YOU.
Here’s something to think about: if someone’s talking about you, you’re occupying their mind in one way or another. If someone really, truly wasn’t interested in you, would they really be thinking about you all the time? If a person was repulsed by you, they wouldn’t spend any time talking about you.

SHE CONSTANTLY TAUNTS YOU

Rare though it might be, girls might also “neg” guys the same way guys do girls. If a girl has felt slighted by you, she may turn to taunting your and making fun of you as a way to lick her own wounds. Guys, this shouldn’t take you by surprise — you’re famous for this move!

EVEN THOUGH SHE INSISTS SHE HATES YOU, SHE KEEPS BUMPING INTO YOU AND HANGING OUT WITH YOUR FRIENDS.
The more unlikely it is that she’d meet you in these “random” place, the more likely it is that she wants you to notice that she’s there.

SHE BLUSHES AROUND YOU, OR BLUSHES WHEN SOMEONE SAYS SHE HAS A CRUSH ON YOU.
Blushing is one of those things that you can’t hide, no matter what you say. It’s a sign she’s flustered, and it’s also a sign that she’s been caught red-handed.

YOU KEEP CATCHING HER STEALING GLANCES AT YOU.
If she didn’t like you, she wouldn’t constantly be ogling you. Unless you have lobsters crawling out of your ears, you’re probably being scoped out by this girl.

YOU’VE OVERHEARD HER FRIENDS JOKE ABOUT HOW SHE LIKES YOU.
More often than not, a girl’s friends will see right through the bullsh*t. If they’re the type who are blunt about things, then they’ll most likely joke about the fact that she has a crush on you.

HER FRIENDS HAVE TRIED TO GOAD YOU INTO TALKING TO HER.
This is a classic move that’s done by friends when a girl’s too shy to approach you on her own. Usually, when this happens, the girl’s already asked them to play Cupid because she’s too shy to approach you on her own.

YOUR FRIENDS KEEP MENTIONING THAT IT SEEMS LIKE SHE MIGHT LIKE YOU, OFTEN CITING REASONS LISTED HERE.
Maybe it’s time to listen to your friends? They’ll often have a better grip on reality when it comes to who does and doesn’t like you.

SHE SEEMS LIKE SHE’S TRYING TO RUB HER SEXUALITY IN YOUR FACE.
This is an especially big sign if you recently rejected her and it seems like she’s trying to make you jealous. Subtle clues like looking at you while she’s kissing another guy, or even just overplaying her taken status may be an indicator that she’s still a bit salty over it.

YOU CAN’T HELP BUT NOTICE THAT SHE STAMMERS A LOT AROUND YOU.
Usually, if a girl who’s normally quick-witted is stammering around you, she likes you. I speak as someone who has a tendency of both stammering and verbal diarrhea when she’s around a guy she likes. This is usually a clear indication that she’s into you.

IT’S BECOME A RUNNING GAG AT SCHOOL OR WORK.
“Those two will get married some day. Just watch.” Sound familiar? If so, you’re dealing with a girl who has an immature way of showing a crush.

SHE’S PRANKED YOU BEFORE.
This is one of those moves that was torn right out of the book of middle school crush moves. Pranking doesn’t always necessarily mean that she likes you, but if it’s a prank that involves some kind of physical contact, or a prank that’s cute, it might be a good sign.

SHE SEEMS FRUSTRATED WITH GETTING YOUR ATTENTION.
Maybe that’s why she “hates” you?

SHE SAYS SHE HATES YOU, BUT HER BODY LANGUAGE SAYS OTHERWISE.
She’s touching her hair. She’s biting her lip around you. Usually, these are signs that she’s trying to preen, or just thinking of you in a sexual way. You may want to take a cue.

Evelyn's Tale

Wale wanted to know every tiny detail that had to do with me. I didn't know how my mum would feel knowing I had a child out of wedlock so I didn't hesitate at all to take him to my mum since the pregnancy was still young and not really noticeable. Wale introduced me to all his friends, colleagues at work and even some of his extended family members. I was home! We were both in love. Wale didn't hide anything from me, so I presumed.
One of the days Wale and I weren't together, mum asked to see me.

How long have you known this young man? Mum asked with concern in her eyes.

Six months, I lied.

I had known wale for three months and it felt like five years.

Marriage isn't something you rush into honey, my mum sighed as she adjusted her spectacles on her slender nose bridge.
I had something special with my husband, your father. We courted for two years and I still didn't know everything about him after five years of marriage.
Trying hard not to look into her eyes, I assured her that Wale and I were the perfect match and I only hoped she believed me.
                            . . .
The wedding date was finally fixed and both of our family members were busy making sure everything was going as planned. We had gotten a venue and both families agreed on Ikeja in Lagos state Nigeria. I wanted something small but Wale's mum wouldn't hear of it. She wanted her first son's wedding to be grand. She wanted it to be on the mouths of Lagos party goers and  if possible all Nigerians. I did not see any reason for the extravagant ceremony but I had no choice than to listen to my future mother-in-law.
A week to the wedding, I barely saw Wale. He was so busy with both work and preparations. Mum also felt I shouldn't see him during that week so that it would be more magical on the wedding day. I didn't really care if it was not magical. Whatever that means,  I only wanted to see my Wale.
So,  three days to our wedding, I decided to pay Wale a surprise visit at his place in Ajah, Lagos state.
It wasn't the first time I had come around without telling him. But this time Wale was furious. Through out the times I knew Wale, he had never raised his voice on me or got that angry.
I apologised without knowing why and asked him if everything was fine. He asked me to wait  outside while he got the keys to his car, so he would drop me off claiming he had an important conference to attend.
I felt disappointed so I kept silent as he drove me back to my place.
That night he called me to apologize for  flaring up and said he had been stressed because of the wedding and work.

It's okay,  I said in a tiny voice choked up in tears.

Baby, are you crying? Wale's deep voice echoed through the phone.
I couldn't speak much because a lot of strange thoughts were going through my head.
What if he had someone else? No!! I shook the thought off my head.
What if this was a mistake.. What if I didn't really know him.. What if ...what if... What if... My brain needed a chill. So I managed to tell Wale I was fine and just had a slight headache and needed to go get aspirin from the kitchen.
He wasn't convinced but he still had to get off the phone.
After I felt relief from the pill I had taken. I knelt down and prayed to God. I hadn't done that in along while. I needed guidance. I knew it was too late to know more about Wale. So I prayed to God to make our relationship in marriage last. ...

Article: Is Jungle Justice a sign of brotherhood?

There was a time in Nigeria, humans were sold as slaves to the white men. This was so many years ago. Our mothers prayed to see the end of that dark era. Then there was unity and brother loved brother, sister loved sister. We had one thing that united us all. Brotherhood. I dare to say there was peace back then despite the pain. Brothers sang and ate together  despite the hardship. We were one..! One nation even without a country. Even without so much to eat, there was unity. My grandfather used to tell me stories of how he worked for the white men. How he learnt a lot from them and how we Nigerians helped our selves in times of need. There were morals, above all love for one another. Even without a democratic government we had leaders who were called Eze(east), Obi(south-south), Emir(North), Oba(west). They all saw to the proper care of the members of their community. These leaders never slept when their community was in  turmoil. Even the smallest person In the community meant a great deal to the king. He was the father of all!! Then people could run to their hometowns knowing they would be protected by their brothers. They could run home knowing they would be fed if they had nothing to eat. But then we had education which was supposed to be a blessing but rather it brought with it it's wicked step brothers greed, selfishness, corruption, vices, prejudice and lawlessness. Knowledge is power I once thought but what power did my country people pick? Was it the positive power or negative power? We asked the white man to leave because of his torture on us but we do worse to our selves everyday. We No longer see our selves as brothers or sisters. We compete for the smallest opportunity. We see each other as an enemy. We walk on the streets with fear of one another. Is this the country I once heard about? Because of the hardship in the country people steal and when caught are publicly humiliated and most times burnt by fellow Nigerians. People commit murder and justify their acts by saying they killed a thief. Nigerians asked for a democratic government and succeeded in getting it. So the question now is. Why take laws into your hands if we have leaders. Some say the necessary actions won't be taken, others say the thievies shouldn't be allowed to walk on the surface of the earth. Now my second question is, Is Jungle justice the answer? How can we say we are brothers and watch a fellow brother die by fire just because he stole a phone. How can you watch a human go through such pains? Now are you better than the slave traders? Is this democracy? Is this the definition of brotherhood? Say NO to JUNGLE JUSTICE!!! Let the law take its course.

Evelyn's Tale

I waited patiently for a day I'd have the courage to walk out of this relationship. I loved Wale with everything I was made of. I wondered how I would survive without him. Despite all Wale's bad sides, Wale was the sweetest person I had come across when he wasn't in a bad mood. Before I married Wale, I heard stories about abusive relationships. Men hitting their wives and some tough women beating their husbands. I grew up with a single mum, so I never had the opportunity to know what it looked like for a man and woman to live together. Wale changed 3months after our wedding. After he lost his job he suddenly changed. He became very aggressive and short tempered. I tried hard to stay away from him but even that pissed him off. He accused me of seeing someone else and that  was the reason I stayed away from him. Every little thing I did seemed to make him angry. Some days he would be so sweet to me but other days it was a war zone.
I met Wale at the store I once worked. He came in with a lady friend I assumed was his girlfriend. He was very chatty and extremely friendly with every one in the store. The next day he came in and asked for my number. From there, we started going out until i got pregnant. Surprisingly, Wale was excited about the baby. He became so sweet to me. Asked me to stop work and move into his place. Wale was everything I dreamt of. He was my fairytale prince charming. He did the laundry, made breakfast most of the time and spoilt me with gifts. Wale asked to see my parents and introduced me to his mum. Could all of this be real? I asked my self..... To be continued
